I thought it would be more fulfilling and educational to play with lighting and material with the render toggle. I was going to add typical living room furniture to each image, but I found the whole process of figuring out zooming/scaling/horizon in the initial stages so daunting that I decided to stick with my three models.

I got frustrated with the process of finding free 3D objects I found aesthetically pleasing, as well as with all the importing and scaling/moving to exact locations. I had way too much fun with this part, and spent hours experimenting with objects, materials, and lighting. I imported my other models (a bookcase, and a side table), and began scaling and adding material. I was still eager to figure out the zooming feature before I started placing objects on my tables, but I couldn’t find the answer online or with other colleagues.

It was a record stand, and I couldn’t find the shelves no matter which position I turned it to. I began by importing my first 3D model from Fusion 360 and already ran into a great deal of trouble. I found the tutorials helpful and was confident in my knowledge of the features. I wanted to get to know the interface of Adobe Dimension well so that I couldn’t be limited by skill like I tended to find myself in past assignments.
